Former deputy director of Public Security Bureau involved in gangs

On January 14, police in Linfen, Shanxi Province, openly solicited clues from a criminal group headed by Li Guanghui, former deputy director of the Bureau, including the arrest of 12 gang members including Li’s wife Zhang Xiaohui. People familiar with the matter said that when Li Guanghui was in office, he was arrogant and domineering. He often used police cars to drive his way. “Kill you” was a mantra. The reporter’s investigation found that many of the gang were Li Guanghui’s relatives or fellow villagers, many of them were suspected of intentional homicide, and they also had infighting over the distribution of the proceeds from the murder. A few days ago, the police issued a circular again to dig for clues of public officials involved in the case.
