On the evening of March 11, China Unicom (600050) announced that the board of directors of the company had received a written resignation from Li Guohua, the director and President of the company. Li Guohua resigned as a director of the company, a member of the development strategy committee of the board of directors and President of the company due to his retirement age.
According to the announcement, the resignation will take effect on March 11, 2020. Li Guohua’s resignation will not cause the number of the board of directors of the company to be lower than the minimum quorum requirement, and will not affect the normal operation of the board of directors of the company. Li Guohua has confirmed that there is no difference of opinion with the board of directors of the company, and there is no other matter to be submitted to the attention of shareholders of the company due to resignation. During his tenure as a director and President, Li Guohua performed his duties conscientiously and diligently.
