31 provincial minimum wage adjustment

Due to the different economic development, there are differences in the minimum wage standards. Take the first minimum wage standard of 31 provinces as an example. Shanghai ranks first with 2480 yuan / month, Qinghai with 1500 yuan / month as the lowest, and Anhui with 1550 yuan / month as the second lowest. However, it should be noted that the “gold content” of the minimum wage standards in various provinces and cities is not the same.

According to the minimum wage regulations, the minimum wage standard generally takes the form of monthly minimum wage standard and hourly minimum wage standard. The monthly minimum wage standard is applicable to full-time employees, and the hourly minimum wage standard is applicable to part-time employees.
Nine places raise the minimum wage, Chongqing takes the lead
Since this year, there are at least nine provinces that have clearly adjusted the minimum wage standard, including Beijing, Liaoning, Shanghai, Hunan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Hebei and Fujian. At present, 26 provinces divide the minimum wage standard into several grades. Among them, most provinces are divided into three or four. Fujian is the only region with five grades, and the new standard will be reduced to four grades.
Specifically, from January 1 in Chongqing, the monthly minimum wage for the first employees is 1800 yuan, and the monthly minimum wage for the second employees is 1700 yuan, 300 yuan higher than the original standard.
From April 1, Shanghai adjusted the monthly minimum wage from 2420 yuan to 2480 yuan, an increase of 60 yuan, and the hourly minimum wage from 21 yuan to 22 yuan.
From May 1, the minimum wage in the first class wage area is 1800 yuan / month, the minimum wage in the second class wage area is 1700 yuan / month, and the minimum wage in the third class wage area is 1600 yuan / month, 120 yuan higher than the original standard.
From July 1, Beijing adjusted the monthly minimum wage from 2120 yuan to 2200 yuan, an increase of 80 yuan; the hourly minimum wage was 24 yuan, the same as the original standard.
Since October 1, the four categories of monthly minimum wage standards in Hunan have been adjusted to 1700 yuan, 154 yuan, 1380 yuan and 1220 yuan, which are 90 to 120 yuan higher than the original standards.
Since November 1, the monthly minimum wage for the first level is 1810 yuan, for the second level is 1610 yuan, for the third level is 1480 yuan, and for the fourth level is 1300 yuan, which is 180 yuan or 190 yuan higher than the original standard respectively.
Since November 1 in Hebei Province, the minimum wage standards for the fourth month are 1900 yuan, 1790 yuan, 1680 yuan and 1580 yuan respectively, which are 200 yuan or 250 yuan higher than the original standards.
Since December 1, the monthly minimum wage standard in the first category area is 1790 yuan, 1670 yuan in the second category area and 1570 yuan in the third category area, which are 100 yuan or 110 yuan higher than the original standard respectively.
Since January 1, 2020, the monthly minimum wage standard in Fujian Province has been reduced from the current five grades to four grades, which are 1800 yuan, 1720 yuan, 1570 yuan and 1420 yuan, respectively, 40 to 100 yuan higher than the original standard. The new fourth standard is 140 yuan higher than the current fifth standard.
According to the data of nine provinces, Chongqing ranks first in the single increase of 300 yuan.
According to the regulations, the minimum wage shall be adjusted at least once every two to three years.
In addition to the above nine provinces, Shandong made it clear that, in view of the fact that the minimum wage standard can guarantee the basic life of low-income workers, Shandong’s economic development situation should be taken into consideration as a whole. In order to avoid the impact of too fast rising costs on the competitiveness of enterprises, it is determined that the minimum wage standard will not be adjusted in 2019.
Guangxi has solicited opinions on the adjustment plan of the minimum wage standard in 2020, and the minimum wage standard in three file months is planned to be increased by 130 yuan. Before September 16, 2019, the validity period of the solicitation, Guangxi human resources and social security department has not received any effective feedback and suggestions from any unit or individual.
In addition, Tianjin, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Gansu, Qinghai and Ningxia are all two years away from the last adjustment, and Zhejiang is about two years away from the last adjustment.
